New & Noteworthy
Sharing some worthy wardrobe purchases as of late.
As I’ve gotten older, I’ve become a more intentional shopper. Thinking about an item months before purchasing. Choosing quality over quantity. And knowing what I like to spend money on vs what I don’t like to spend money on. For example, I don’t see myself ever buying a $500 white t-shirt. The $45 one makes me super happy and does the job. But I absolutely will drop a few thousand on a bag. And however many is required on a watch that I love. What’s your max spend on shoes? Outerwear? Jeans?
My humble beginnings in NYC had me on a Zara, Forever21, H&M budget. As my salary increased I thought, oh I can afford x,y, and z now! It was a mindset that inevitably got me into credit card debt. After 2 years of diligently paying my credit cards, I’ve gotten myself out of debt and learned my lesson: just because you can afford it, it doesn’t mean you should buy it… also, it’s important to be mindful about any and all decisions in general but especially financial decisions.
With that, I wanted to gather some of my most worthy purchases and share them with you here. These are my tried and true wardrobe staples.

Adidas Samba Handball Spezial - Aluminium
I have worn the heckkkk out of these sneakers since last year. They are quite beat up now and rarely do I ever get back-up pairs of shoes but I would definitely get an another pair of these. Instantly comfortable, no break in period. They pair so well with a capsule wardrobe and are of-the-moment. Adidas has been dominating lately with the rise of Sambas, Gazelles, and their designer collaborations.
I personally love this sneaker because of the texture and color of the suede and how versatile and comfortable it is. I recently got the “Scarlet Gum” color way and love that it adds a pop of color to a simple outfit. It’s little outside my comfort zone but I’m having fun styling it. Highly recommend. Very worthy purchase.
Dorsey
They create stunning, timeless jewelry using lab grown sapphires and gem stones, ranging from $150 to just over a thousand. The quality is amazing. It looks and feels expensive at a great price point. I have the Kate necklace, pictured above, and the Kate bracelet. I’ve worn these pieces for several months now and there are no signs of it tarnishing. I’ve worn my bracelet in the sun, ocean, and shower, and it still looks beautiful. I’m pretty sure I should not be doing that but I did it and it’s okay so far. I made sure to clean it well afterwards.
It elevates a simple tee and jeans look. Just add ballet flats and a chic bag and you’ve got yourself an easy, elegant outfit. Dorsey also pairs well for events as some of their pieces are more of a moment on its own like this ring. I also love the idea of layering their necklaces - it looks so chic.
I also think Dorsey has some great options as gifts. Like this bracelet that would look amazing stacked with tennis bracelets or with a watch. Or the James necklace and bracelet - super cute and can be dressed up or down like a lot of their selection.
The options are endless.
I just recently got them in the mail and they fit really well. Not too blue, not too dark or light, just a perfect medium blue wash. I need to get them hemmed. Planning to wear them with sneakers, boots, and ballet flats this spring. A classic must-have. Agolde is my favorite denim brand. It just takes time to figure out which styles work best for your figure, body type, height, style, etc. I love the Lana, 90s crop (perfect for my fellow petite gals as it hits right above the ankle), and the 90s pinch waist.
These earrings were giving me vintage vibes but with a modern twist. I love the size of it and how lightweight it is. My ears are usually sensitive to plated jewelry but I can wear these all day without any discomfort or irritation. Great quality and price point. These are one of the earrings I often reach for. It can be dressed down with a t-shirt and jeans or dressed up in an evening look like a slinky long black dress and fur coat. A really chic pair!
Hope you guys enjoyed this week’s fashion segment of new and noteworthy. See you back here soon xx

These are great recos! Also, appreciate you sharing your experience and mindset when it comes to spending. This is a really good point: "just because you can afford it, it doesn't mean you should buy it..."
